As I suspected back in August 2018 that legacy services will increase encouraging subscribers to change. The key driver in businesses to change from ISDN and PSTN will be cost. This week we have received notification from BT that price change from 1st April 2022 will take effect.
Unfortunately this is not confined to just legacy services. Other service shown below are also effected.
|Service||Current Monthly Cost||% Increase||Price increase|
|Superfast Essential + Value Line bundle||£46.00||9.3%||£4.28|
|Superfast Enhanced + Value Line bundle||£58.80||9.3%||£5.47|
|BT Cloud Voice Basic User||£8.40||9.3%||79p*|
|BT Cloud Voice Connect User||£11.50||9.3%||£1.07*|
|BT Cloud Voice Collaborate User||£17.80||9.3%||£1.66*|
|BT Cloud Phone Basic and Inclusive 500 UK Minutes||£15.00||9.3%||£1.40*|
|BT Cloud Phone Connect and Inclusive 500 UK Minutes and HD Video Meetings||£25.00||9.3%||£2.33*|
|BT Cloud Phone Collaborate including Unlimited UK Minutes||£28.00||9.3%||£2.61*|
The increases individually are not a great deal however the items marked * is per user/extension. A small businesses with 10 telephone extensions will see an increase from £7.90 to £36.30 per month. The greater he number of extensions the greater the cost.
Now is a good time to review your telecom services. Don’t be hit by the BT price change.
