Alex BarrettManaging Director
Alex started the company in 1991 as a broker of IBM Mainframe equipment having come from a mainframe peripheral supplier, Memorex Telex. Due to changes in the market place and technology advancements he has steered the company towards the WinTel platform.
He places a huge value in customer service both when dealing with clients and when dealt with as a customer himself. He openly accepts that he is unable to be all to all men so has created a forward thinking professional team to take his requirements from idea through to final delivery.
A Microsoft Licencing Specialist and 3CX Advanced Certified Engineer.
Alex is a keen diver and has trained and qualified to Instructor level with PADI and BSAC.
Elaine BarrettFinance Director
Elaine manages the finances of the company on a day-to-day basis. Elaine also handles the goods, both software and hardware which require ordering to fulfill our clients requests. Elaine’s background is banking and finance having started work at Barclays International, Knightsbridge London. In latter years Elaine worked for Abbey National and TSB.
Brian WardTechnical Manager
Brian joined CNS in January 2004 having previously run his own IT support business and has a love/hate relationship with computers.
Since joining CNS Brian has become a expert on Microsoft’s Small Business Server product line, gaining vast experience through many installations, upgrades and migrations. Brian has also successfully achieved the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist accreditation for Small Business Server 2008, among other industry certifications.
Brian is also a 3CX and Altaro Certified Engineer.
Outside of work Brian is a dedicated family man, who enjoys DIY and gardening.
Stuart GarsideSenior IT Support Technician
Stuart joined CNS in February 2011, having previously worked for TATA Consultancy Services and Somerfield Stores where he developed an overview of infrastructure systems and Antivirus management. During this time he also developed and managed Microsoft Access databases utilising Touch Screen and GSM technologies. Stuart enjoys diagnosing faults and resolving issues and hopes to achieve Microsoft certification and through involvement in the forthcoming installations hopes put the theory into practice. Stuart also has been actively providing 1st line support and gaining towards 2nd line support.
With some hard work and dedication on his part Stuart has completed the required training and certification to become a 3CX Advanced Certified Engineer.
Stuart unlike Brian does not enjoy DIY or gardening and is a keen walker and enjoys Formula 1
